IP address targeting increases the precision and focus of your campaign’s geolocation strategies. Every computer connected to the Internet has an IP address that indicates its location—be it a residence or a business with a shared network. IP targeting uses these addresses to create effective, hyper-targeted campaigns for reaching B2C and B2B prospects
What is IP Targeting?
IP address targeting is the process of targeting specific places or users based on their Internet Protocol address.
How it works.
Audience CreationWhen we have an IP list, we find and match all the user IDs associated with each IP address. The user pools become available as data segments which can be used in custom audiences and ad groups. There are two ways for us to create an IP list:● We use the information you provided to build a custom list of IP addresses to target with ads.● IP-sourced Lists are to target business-to-business according to websites and physical addresses you provide.● For customer-to-customer targeting we need names and household addresses.
Include & Exclude CategoriesWe can include one or more categories to target at the ad group level of the campaign setup. We can also exclude the categories on which you don’t want to bid.
Notes & Best Practices● The IP addresses you provide are considered first-party data and won’t be subject to additional costs.● The costs of IP sourcing varies and is determined based on your campaign objectives and audience. We will need to discuss this.
